About the Author
Dr. Sangram Jena (born 1952) has published more than thirty books, including six collections of poetry and ten books of translation. He has translated classics of world poetry into Oriya and works of many contemporary Oriya poets into English. He has won the Sahitya Akademi Award for translation. He edits two literary magazines-Nishant and MargAsia.
Dr. Jayanta Mahapatra (born 22 October 1928) is a renowned Indian English poet and translator. He has seven Odia poetry collections and twenty English poetry collection to his credit. He is the first Indian poet to win Sahitya Akademi award (1981) for English poetry collection Relationships. He was awarded Padma Shri, the fourth highest civilian honor in India in 2009.
