About the Author

Born in 1937, Bibekananda Jena joined Indian Audit and Accounts Service in 1960 after having a graduate degree in Geography from Ravenshaw College and a post graduate degree from St. Stephen’s College, Delhi. During 1983-85, he served on the editorial board of Pratibeshi, a quarterly literary journal from Kolkota. He died of cardiac arrest at the age of 48 in Kolkota. He has published two poetry collections in Odia – Pabanara Ghara and Debi, Smruti, Kimbadanti.
