About the Author
Yashobanta Samal (b. 1967), an academician and administrator writes short stories and essays in Odia language. His stories published in reputed Odia magazines and newspapers are widely appreciated and acclaimed by the readers. Till now, ten short story books have been published to his credit. He is awarded and felicitated by different coveted organizations which include Prof. Bhubaneswar Behera Galpa Samman, Chetabani Prajna Samman, Kendrapara Book Fair award and many more.
Harekrushna Das (b. 1974), a poet and translator, has translated and published a number of poems from Odia into English and Hindi. His works include “Karmadharaya”, a poetry collection in Odia, and English translation of nine books so far. His recent work, the English rendition of Sahitya Akademi award-winning book “Swarodaya” of eminent poet Dr. Banshidhar Sarangi, has been published by Sahitya Akademi, New Delhi in 2023.
